Abstract

The existence of areas with steep slopes and hills in Cipanjalu Village causes this village to experience disasters in the form of landslides. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of public in Cipanjalu Village regarding field triage as part of disaster preparedness. with 15 participants. The method used in this activity starts from the preparation, socialization and implementation stages with empowerment and community participation methods through lectures and questions and answers with the help of power points and modules, demonstration and hands-on practice, disaster simulation and evaluation & reflection. Activity assessment was carried out by analyzing the results of the questionnaire and test scores from the participant's answers given before and after the activity for the knowledge aspect, while for the skill aspect by observing the result of implementation of field triage. The results of this community service activity showed that the total pre-test score of participants' understanding of Triage START before the disaster response training was carried out was 211 and an average of 22, while after being given the training there was an increase in the post test score of community understanding to 1080 and an average of 72, so it can be seen an increase in the understanding score of the trainees by 72 or the average score of 51 point
