Health promotion is one of the primary prevention that can be done to prevent cervical cancer. The primary prevention strategy that can be done is by providing health education about cervical cancer. This community service activity was carried out by providing health education regarding IVA testing through audiovisual media (videos) and leaflets. A pre-test was administered prior to the educational intervention to measure participants’ initial interest in having IVA testing. Following the educational session, a post-test was conducted to assess the improvement in participants’ interest in performing IVA testing. The results showed that before the intervention, almost half of WUS were not interested in doing IVA tests 30,59 and after the intervention by WUS were interested in doing IVA tests by 41,30. The conclusion that there is an Influence of Information Media Using Leaflets on IVA Test on the Interest of Women of Childbearing Age (WUS) to Perform IVA Test (P-value=0.01). A self-survey conducted in Simpangan Village, North Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, recorded 32 toddlers, but only 13% attended posyandu regularly each month. This study aimed to improve mothers’ knowledge and motivation in bringing their toddlers to posyandu through educational assistance. A descriptive research design with a participatory approach was applied. The subjects were all mothers with toddlers in RT 03/04 RW 07 Simpangan Village, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through interviews, self-survey, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the main factors contributing to low attendance were mothers’ limited knowledge, the perceived distance to posyandu, and the suboptimal role of health cadres in providing reminders. Interventions in the form of health education and FGD effectively increased mothers’ understanding and commitment to visiting posyandu more regularly. In conclusion, educational assistance was effective in improving mothers’ awareness and motivation to attend posyandu. It is recommended that continuous health education, strengthened cadre involvement, and village government support in improving access to posyandu be implemented.
Nazwa Rizkia Khoerunnisa, Irfi Aniyatul Khaliyah, Rika Rosdiana, Rini Damayanti, Winnie Tunggal Mutika ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://abdimasada.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/AM/article/view/153 Wed, 20 May 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time EDUKASI DAN SIMULASI PERAWATAN LUKA SEDERHANA PADA ESKTRAKURIKULER DOKCIL DI SD ASSALAAM https://abdimasada.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/AM/article/view/154
Accidents in children can occur anywhere, including in the school environment. Posyandu cadres play an important role as community health educators; however, their capacity in adult health services and health education has not been systematically assessed. This community service program aimed to map the readiness capacity of posyandu cadres in health services, early detection, and health education for adult populations in urban primary healthcare settings. A participatory approach was implemented through health education, cadre skills assessment, and reflective mentoring. Assessment was conducted among 14 cadres using structured interviews based on competency checklists for adult and elderly posyandu services. Data were analyzed descriptively using percentages and readiness categories. Most cadres were categorized as moderately prepared (57.1%), while 35.7% still required competency strengthening. The highest competencies were identified in GERMAS health promotion, education on adult diseases, and obesity-hypertension screening. Lower competencies were found in questionnaire-based screening, mental health screening, family planning education, and elderly health screening. This program produced a cadre capacity map that can support primary healthcare centers in developing gradual, sustainable, and need-based cadre training and mentoring programs.
Tuti Surtimanah, Nanda Berliana Tania Fidzikri, Muhammad Abdurahman Faaiz ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://abdimasada.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/AM/article/view/155 Wed, 20 May 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time EDUKASI IVA TEST PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR DI KELURAHAN MARGAHAYU UTARA KECAMATAN BABAKAN CIPARAY https://abdimasada.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/AM/article/view/156
Cervical cancer remains a major health problem among women in developing countries, including Indonesia. Activities included health education with pre‑test and post‑test (35 participants) and a three‑day cucumber juice intervention (100 ml/day) for six randomly selected hypertensive respondents. After cucumber juice consumption, mean systolic blood pressure decreased from 172.3±28.3 mmHg before intervention (baseline) to 154.3±16.4 mmHg on day‑2, while mean diastolic blood pressure also decreased from 99.2±18.9 mmHg to 92.7±7.9 mmHg on day‑1. However, blood pressure reductions varied considerably among individuals, with some respondents showing better responses than others.
